Is it possible to get the service packs for Solidworks 2004 Office Pro without subscribing?

If you have a legit copy, you can obtain a SP if you report a known bug to your VAR, that is fixed by a later SP. Reading this NG may help you locate a bug. I am personally opposed to SW charging for SPs. It about the same as having to pay for recall on your car. I'm sure none of you would ever pay.

Thanks for the info. I'm not really having any problems, but we are going to be updating to the SP2 for XP Pro soon and I hear that it will keep Solidworks 2004 from working. I was hoping that there was an update that would allow it to keep running. Thanks again.

I think WinXPsp2 only causes trouble with the last? swx update (4.2 won't install) I'm using 4.1 with no trouble on a winxp sp2 machine. bill

Thanks for responding. If and when we finally get around to updating to SP2, I will post the results.
