SW 2005 issues

Hello All,

SW 2005 issues:

1.. Why can't select a construction line that is close to a line. 05 will always try to select the line unless I zoom way in. 2.. Why when I draw a "near" vertical line does the add relations box NOT appear initially, but if I click anywhere in the graphics area and THEN select the line does it appear??? BTW, SW 2005 SP 0.0 Win XP SP1

TIA, Muggs

I can't reproduce either one. I put some lines in a sketch and the Add Relations showed up each time. I then offset one of the lines by .005", changed it to construction, and it will select as easily as the other one. Try defining an exact procedure to follow. I'm running the same setup.

Hey Wayne,

Thanks! Take a look at this AVI.

My VAR says its a driver problem(???), so my next question for you (and everyone else for that matter), is what driver are you all who have an NVIDIA Quadro FX 1000 using now? Seems like SW wants me to use the 6.14.10.53.03, but whats in there is

6.14.10.5657 which is newer??

Thanks, Muggs

Cool step-by-step!

The only thing I can do that comes close is to put in a line and then close the Relations box. Then the next line will not have the box open. But I also don't see any difference with a vertical or near vertical line.

We aren't running any FX1000 cards, so I can't answer you there. But our FX500 cards are using 5.2.1.6. I wouldn't think the Relations box would be video related, but the line selection could be.

Hey Wayne and All,

I was just informed that I've revied an SPR on the problem of the Add Relations box not expanding when I sketch a line near vertical or near horizontal. The problem comes up when (as I do) you have "Single comand per pick" selected.

I do not have that option on - guess that's why mine worked. Thanks for the info.
