SW2006 needs no dongle ?!

Well I just installed 2006 and I was plesantly suprised about one thing. In Australia we still have dongles. I understand we are the only ones left (as per SW support).

Well SW2006 now uses product activation and also

... drum roll ...

you get a home licence. No need to take the dongle home any more.

The odd thing about all this is you can stull use the dongle to run

2005 ! And you can use one work licence and one home licence independantly !!

You end up with three licences as a result.

Dingoes are for tourists, that's if the koalas don't get you first :-)

Anyway, first I don't advocate you take advantage of the kindness of SW. Although in my opinion Whart SolidWorks has done will help it alot. It is an illusion that if you treat your customers like they are theifs you gain.

SW has done the right thing of Australians. This will make life easyer for us.
