I have used DimXpert to dimension a part. I want to import those dimensions into a drawing. I lieu of that I want to use DimXpert in the drawing. Help seems to be telling me this will work, but it doesn't. Any thoughts

Highlight the view and in the property manager expand "Import options" and check "DimXpert annotations"
Just make sure Your views in the drawing are marked with (A)....otherwise it won't work.

I think TOP wanted to use the DIMXpert directly in the drawing. It's not intended to work that way. DimXpert is a tool for annotating 3D part model files. These annotations can then be projected onto drawing views, as Krister describes.
What happened to the old autodimensioning functionality?

The way we work, if we had a wide screen TV type monitor at every work cell and eDrawings the DimXpert alone would make a very good system and avoid drawings altogether. But alas, we still need the 2D drawings.

That is the intention behind the DimXpert and the ANSI standard it is designed to support.
But alas, we still need the 2D
That is the reality. Which is why you can project the annotations to the drawing views.
AFAIK, autodimensioning for drawings is unchanged. DimXpert is just a more forward-looking approach.
I found it. Thanks. They moved the furniture again.
I have toyed with DimXpert and found it's results to be unexpected and not at all like the demos. I'll stick with auto dimensioning where needed.
