As someone who attended the Los Angeles user group meeting, this is one you don't want to miss. He has a well prepared presentation that is informative, but it is of course marketing driven.
The good part is his candor in the q&a session that follows it. Bring your best questions and concerns that you face on a daily basis. The questions raised in our session were good, and he seemed to truly be interested in what we had to say. If you're going to ask about backwards compatibility to older versions, save your breath. The answer is the same and the ones that are given here every year after a new release comes out. "It would be nice, but it can't be done...yet"
I think this is a great effort on John's and SW's part to be involved with users that are working with the software every day and not rely on filtered feedback from the VAR network.
