I thought I got infected again by MS or one of the other "garbage" files in my machine.

I was just trying to find out the dimensional differences between schedule

I am trying to create a layout where I can run our (as in His and Hers) HO and Marklin old 3 rail AC stuff. I will, of course, include protection devices. Love a challenge!!!

Use Märklin Track. Their latest generation can be powered as an either/or situation if wired correctly as the two rails can be independent of one another. The differences between Märklin, NEM and NMRA standard wheels may be a problem though, especially through any switches. Märklin and NEM - the DC standard for Europe - are not the same. Current NEM and Märklin items run through the modern Märklin track, but the same cannot be said of the older M track or Scale track. NMRA standard stuff has a little some sloppiness running through Märklin track and NEM standard track. Märklin and NEM standard items have some difficulty running through NMRA standard switches if the switches have not been fixed.

The wheels were my concern which prompted my search for information.

I am an electro/mechanical engineering technician by trade and at 63, will now try to apply these skills to play.

Marklin sells the 3 rail flex track for $115.00 a box and thats the stud type. Just a tad pricey!

We have a neat train shop here in Sacramento and I picked up some 100 flex track and seperate single rails, for a whole lot less.

Creativity at the switches and crossings, delicate soldering, and "I think I can, I think I can - -"

If you're using Internet Exploder, turn off ActiveX and auto-install of programs through the Tools/Internet Options panel. It won't protect you, but it keeps you from running completely wide open. You're still visible and vulnerable even with that stuff off. The problem with MS is that's automatically configured to leave you wide open to the world. There's a lot of stuff you can get rid of, but I'm not far enough into my program to know the particulars yet.

Mozilla or Firefox (a Mozilla browser-only subset) can really reduce your exposure.

Works for me

Servers occasionally go down for maintenence or part failure. Sometimes it takes a while for the server to be noticed as being down and then get repaired. The site works for me now.
