The only marking on it is a 7/8ths circle and what looks like a ships anchor filling the circle and its located on bottom of boiler near front of motor cutout,also have a cylinder for it and it has some numbers on it,its also a metal cylinder and its for sure bigger than HO and smaller than O scale. I can take a pic or two of this if someone is familiar with the mfg mark it has. Thank you . Gary

What kind of metal? Bronze perhaps? They were common during the forties for HO and O scale, but I don't remember that marking. I also have a bronze aftermarket Cary I1 boiler made to fit the Penn Line PRR I1 2-10-0. It's a really heavy sucker, and I can pull the paint off the walls with it. Here is a pic of the real engine:
