Folks,
I just got a new Lenz 100 starter set from Tony's Train exchange and have a few questions. The Lenz is a german product, and as such its documentation is not very precise and kind of messy.
I am completely new to DCC, thus do not feel offended by my questions:
1) I want to program the LZV100 output voltage to the main track. By default the LZV100 outputs 16V. I would like to drop that value to about 12.5 V. I understand that you have to go in PROG mode, select the CV7, write into it the value 50, and then the value 25 to set up the track voltage to 12.5 Volts. Could anybody who has done such process, describe it and indicates what are the detailed steps to to reach that goal.2) I connected my Programming track to the corresponding outputs. Using a digital multimeter I am not getting any voltage on that track. Do I need to be in PROG mode to get some voltage? I have not connected the main track to the LZV100 yet, and thus do not know if it offers some voltage yet.
3) When you have to set multiple bits values, how do you operate the LH100 unit? Do you program them one at a time? Can you program them all at once?Thank you in advance for your help and any recommendations you may have to operate the Lenz system.
