RemoteSign (arrival and departures) now has sound (in a big way)

I am pleased to announce version 2 of RemoteSign !

Version 1 allowed you to create customized train arrival and departure signs for your train layout - version 2 now lets you also sequence sound effects adding a whole new dimension to your layout!

Version 2 adds major enhancements - especially with the provision of sound effects and the ability to play sound files. - the most requested enhancement from users!

RemoteSign files can be scheduled to automatically load another file after a predetermined time. This allows a single machine to be programmed to show any sequence of text on its screen and it can also be made to loop continuously.

There are two areas of sound effects, first the animated mechanical signs make their own noise, adding to the realism of the signs.

Secondly, the program now allows .wav and .mp3 files to be played remotely thus providing an overall sound effects solution. For example, train control software can trigger sound effects to be played as events occur on a train layout. Multiple sound files can be played simultaneously.

In addition to being able to play sounds remotely, the software now also allows a sound file to be automatically played when a RemoteSign file is loaded. This means that in addition to any sequence of sign displays, any sequence of sound effects can also be set up.

In addition to these major enhancements a number of smaller improvements have also been made and are listed in the version history

Download version 2 and try it out ! Lots more information (including links to download it etc.) are at
