Fresh from my last triumph :-) My neighbour brought round part of drive train for the sawbench on his Nuffield today. The PTO coupling is (was) keyed onto the saw input-shaft and then locked with a bolt onto the key. By the looks of it the bolt dropped out year ago and the coupling has been fretting until today when it sheared the key and tore the keyway out of the shaft. I propose to clean up the shaft, build it up with weld, turn it true, and then machine a fresh keyway in the more or less undamaged part of the shaft. Comments on this proposal or offers of the parts most welcome. Trite banality unwelcome :-) ttfn
