Fake UPS/Fedex emails with attachment

Jul 14, 2008 1 Replies

Been getting these for a couple of days now, the attachment is not nice:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Unfortunately we were not able to deliver postal package you sent on July the
1st in time because the recipient?s address is not correct. Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office Your UPS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The email addresses that they come from are always complete junk:

People like us that regularly have deliveries from Fedex/DHL/UPS have to keep an eye out for genuine advisories, but they will always come from an email address that is obviously from the company concerned.

This is the second in 2 days that we have received.

Another variation is to send a similar email asking you to call to arrange an alternative delivery. The phone number they give is charged at premium rate.
