Already done, I am also off to bed early because if we are not in bed then time will not stop so Santa can complete his work. :-))

A friend of the family has a nine year old daughter and this evening I was asked by gran to ring up and be Santa.

I would not have thought that any nine year old would have fallen for it, but she did - or went along with it in convincing fashion! We had a chat about presents and being kind to her parents and she asked if Santa could leave his autograph and the reindeer a hoof print. I said that if there was a patch of mud outside the front door, that could be arranged. Quite warmed my cynical old heart, it did.

Dad rang later to confirm that he had been out in the rain and arranged a muddy patch outside the door of his fifth floor flat. Now, of course, we are wondering if she should get a BAFTA and we've been had!

Have a good Christmas and don't start any engines if you can see more than one of the same kind!

Warmest regards,

Kim
