Why are you selling up. Change of system or going back to DC?

Have read that there are problems with the ZTC system so thought it may have been the reason. Would you recomend the system or some other make as I'm still unsure which makers road to go down.

Hi Alison

I think the main problem with ZTC is that they are not coming up with the goods to stay abreast of the likes of Lenz, in as much as they haven't got their computer interface ready and there is no feedback bus. My system has worked flawlessly that is no runaways since I changed to all TCS M1 decoders and got rid of my early ZTC decoders. The build quality is excellent and the 511 can be used as a slave to another 511 or even a Lenz set and it can also be used as a high end DC controller and Zero One, this is why it is more expensive than some other systems. I think most of the major systems have online manuals that you can download and read at leisure, then when you know what system meets all your requirements then jump in, you wont regret it. Unfortunately my railway room is a bit on the small side and I am hoping to build a garden railway as a longer term project because I would like to run scale length trains.

Regards

John

Hi John, Think I'll stay well away from ZTC. I want a complete system and your comments fit in with some of the others I've read along with other bad news. Lenz or maybe Zimo looks good. Zimo are a bit more expensive but seem very good. Have to save my pocket money now. Thanks for the advice.
