Are the Bachmann Deltic bogies the same as those under their class 37 (B1-1B)? Obviously, all axle drive would be preferable but this seemed a strange choice compared to, say, Heljan's A1A-A1A under the class 47.

You could always use the chassis from the Hornby 50 I suppose, as 37/50/55 bogies were of the same (with detail differences) type.
In the past folks would use Lima 37 bogies under the class 50. But then again Lima is best to be avoided nowadays - where do you get the spares for them?

It looks like the Hornby class 50 chassis could fairly easily be modified to go under a Lamer class 60 too, the wheelbase is virtually identical.
Not considered it as an option under a Deltic, mainly because Bachmann's B1-1B arrangement appears smooth and powerful and I can't see the point of change for change's sake. It certainly wouldn't fit under the much smaller class 37.
John.
Look abit weird John, class 60s use 58 bogies.

Hmm - class 58

Yep the wheelbase is the same but the only diferences to 58 & 60 bogies are the drivers steps and maybe some subtle changes, good idea though, just splash the bogies with alot of underframe paint. ;-)
