Continental Modeller, private ads.

Hi,

I emailed Continental Modeller to see if they would take a private wanted advert by Email and accept payment by credit card. (It's difficult to make payment by other means from New Zealand - a bank draft costs $30- whatever the amount sent) It's been a couple of weeks now with no response!

Banks in Canada provide International Money Orders free of charge to anyone 60 or over (as well as no-fee chequing accounts and other benefits). I'm not sure I could get a money order in NZ dollars, though. I know my wife had trouble getting one in Aussie currency.

I realize there's a bit of a time difference issue, but could you phone them? Peco are attempting to join the 20th Century with this new-fangled interweb thingy (don't even mention the 21st!) but they're not quite there yet. I admit that I hate to think what a phone call would cost...

Canada to New Zealand with YAK long distance: 4 cents per minute. To Australia 6 cents; to the UK 5 cents.

If I phone and they say "No" then I'm going to be even more irritated than not getting a response to an E-mail >:-(

Almost all our banks are Australian owned - they put fees up for older people! Previous Govt. started up a bank but the current govt doesn't believe we need friendly banks and won't let it do anything beyond accepting dole cheques and paying power bills.
