Downloadable scenic paper...

Not trying to knock the idea but looking at the cost of Superquick papers, at 2 quid a pack (6x A4 sheets) I can't see the point in printing your own, you might actually end up spending more - considering the price of decent printer ink, never mind that not all inks are water / colour fast. Could be why the site you refer to went off-line...

Thanks to all who replied. Jerry has a good point, of course, but since I'm modelling a local prototype I'm planning to try the idea of printing out photos of the elevations of local buildings on to thin paper and bonding the paper to plasticard, making the job much simpler. I suspect I'll suffer from the bonding solvent causing the ink to run, but it's still worth a try.

Try spray-on photo-mount, I've not tried it but it should work. I wasn't dismissing the idea, just that of the cost, of course if the idea is to use something that isn't available commercially...

Another possible use for the print-outs is as a sort of cutting pattern, either of commercial printed/embossed paper or even plasticard, IYSWIM.

'Jerry' is right about the spray-on photo-mount. If you are worried about a =91first time fit=92 you can always spread a SMALL amount of washing up liquid to the sprayed surface to allow a small amount of alignment. To prevent fading you can also apply a spray on 'fixing' layer.

If you wish to use Plasticard why not print onto inkjet water-slide decal sheets or tattoo paper available from good stationers or art shops ?

NO!!!!! That will, as sure as day follows night, cause the printing ink to run.

That works fine because the printing ink of the commercial product isn't dissolved by the plastic weld used to bond the paper to the plasticard. Once I find some paper which is thin enough for the weld to flow through, and yet is good enough to print on, I'll see if the idea will work.
