Fitting lights to Bachmann class 20

Anyone know how to get the cab off the main body ?

It's the express models lighting kits - How do I get in to the square route indictor boxes ? They look solid ?

Off the top of my head, i think it slides upwards.

They do come off or at least lights can be fitted from the inside, i have a DRS 20 but i did not the initial light fitting, so until i do my 20, i cant help any more sorry.

The cab slides upwards, but you have to gently ease out the lower cab fronts to release the tabs that hold it in place. (Similar to the Bachy

08) I've done a few 20's (see a DRS one in the Oct Railway Modeller). I've also done Harry Needle's 20096 and 096 using Express kits. But these required a hole cut in the circuit board to accomodate the high intensity headlight. IIRC, the headlight boxes push out once the cab is removed

Thanks. Succeeded in that, No broken pins. Got the box of the cab apart... Now, How to do the bonnett as the box appears to be moulded in ? How do I get that glazing out ?

Remove the glazing from each headcode box. This is just a push fit and can easily be prised out with the tip of a knife. Drill 2 holes in the interior of each box at the same spacing as the dots on the glazing panel. Open up the holes to 2mm. Paint the interior of the boxes black.

Push the yellow leds through the body until the flush with outside of the box interior. With a knife blade, scrape off the black paint and the white dots. Push the glazing back into the panels.
