Heljan is missing a trick...

According to this webpage, "Falcon" carried four different liveries, not three:

Maybe, but that lime-green band livery variation only seems to have been when the loco wasn't in service, so maybe Heljan decided it wasn't something modeller's might want?

Since when did a lack of service with British Rail prevent anyone from buying a fancifully coloured loco? :o)

Missing a trick eh? Just been advised by Heljan that the entire production run of 'Falcon' is now sold out and they are not accepting any further orders.

That sounds to me as though they've got it just right!

John.

Expect them to start turning up on Ebay at inflated prices then. Sounds like this will be one for the collectors.

Adrian

They could sell an extra 800 models if they produced the missing livery.

Many could have been bought purely for resale on eBay and if that's the case supply could outstrip demand and prices could fall.
