Hornby 4MT

My local model shop (hurrah! we have one again!) is selling off a DCC fitted Hornby 4MT. Is this a decent model? Guy

Is that the Standard 4MT 75xxx you're referring to? If so it's a pretty good model with just a couple of minor issues and you can alway junk the DCC decoder and fit a decent one.

Aye, that's the one. It's not just me that thinks the Hornby decoders are a bit duff then? Guy

I=92ve had one or two 'problem' decoders from Hornby and to their credit they have replaced them with a newer version.

Oh dear - I've NEVER had a problem with a Lenz decoder, so can't comment on their after sales service.
