Hornby Service Sheets?

Has anyone discovered where Hornby have hidden the Service Sheets on their new website?

I'd like to look at the Dean Single, to see if they'll make available some of the 'losable' parts which I'd like to replace on my 1960's Tri-ang loco.

Cheers, Francis K.

It appears as though you can now only access service sheets for locos which are currently available.

Go to "Hornby Products" then "locomotives" and find the one you need. Click on the image or "More Info" and you will find the link for the pdf file.

The Dean Single is not yet available so there is no link (unless others have found another way!)

Should boost sales of the pirate CDs of service sheets on eBay!

The Dean Single is already available in the limited edition 'Lord of the Isles' train pack. I know that because we have one or two left in stock.

Unfortunately there is no link to any service sheet from the "Train Pack" section and the loco (being unavailable separately) is not in the locomotive section.

Hi to everyone `chasing' the Lord of the Isles' train pack and Hornby Service sheets.

I left a message (about a week ago) via Hornby's website about where to find the service sheets and so far no answer (do they ever read those emails ?)

not yet . the only way I know of is the same as David Westerman says .. "

- which is a long way around what was once a simple method.

- and what about the earlier locos ?

- when you do `get' a service sheet (as above) take a look at the url.

John , as you say above about the limited edition 'Lord of the Isles' train pack. that

just a couple of Q's : is that the R2560 pack ? , what price (in £ will do) , and can I purchase one from you (shop) ? (replies to my address as below - Thanks and appreciated)

I see the R2560 pack in the latest Hornby catalogue , but I'm also seeing other numbers like R2610 and R2614 appearing as well. ie:

  • R2610 Caledonian Single Train Pack Ltd Ed 2500 NEW for 2007
  • R2614 Dean GWR 4-2-2 "Lorna Doone" LTD ED(DCC Ready) NEW for 2007

does anyone know about those 2 ?

Might have to email Hornby direct about the service sheets.

We've not seen any limited edition 'Lord of the Isles' train packs here in Australia as yet.

Any info about the service sheets etc would be appreciated.

Thanks from DownUnder.

The loco is listed separately in the loco section - as "Emily" in the Thomas range! It won't help though as there's no service sheet link :-)

If you know the service sheet number then try

formatting link
e.g.
formatting link
for tender drive A3/A4. You might get the service sheet numbers from
formatting link
. Still a bit hit and miss though.

Following tips elsewhere in this thread, I downloaded a Britannia sheet from the link on the loco's page, then tried going to the enclosing directory

formatting link
but got an access denied. Looking at the SS number itself there's now no way of guessing what it might be, ss-289b-258.pdf in my case.
