Is there an FAQ?

Hi all

I had a brief interest in British N scale back in the 80s but it lapsed and I'm just getting back into railway modeling now I have the space to create a decent layout.

I want to stay with N scale so that I can run full length trains, but I'm a little out of touch as regards to suppliers. I remember Graham Farish but I see that they've now been taken over by Bachmann. The range of stock from the pre-British Railways era is less than I recall and much of it seems to be unavailable according to their website. Is there anyone else out there?

Ideally what I'm looking for is a supplier of GWR locos and rolling stock from the 1920s/1930s including both the small branch locos as well as the top link expreses.

Is there an FAQ for the group that could point me in the right direction?

You'll find what you need here:

HTH :)

Thanks Rich. I'll have a good read and come back with any questions afterwards.

Dapol have just introduced the 14xx 0-4-2 tank and auto-trailer, but don't forget that these were originally 48xx in your era.

The Bachmann/Graham Farish web page at

Halls, Castles, Kings and prairie tanks are available but the pannier tanks aren't, although you might find them in shops if you look around.

I'll check these out.

From what I can see, the Bachmann/Farish site has 2 x Kings both in British Railwys livery, 2 x Castles also in BR livery but it's only the 2 Halls that are in GWR livery - although one of them has the picture and description at variance with each other.

Noted on the tanks though.

Regards

David
