N scale question

Hi All, I've been lurking here for a while, never had much to say before but I've got a question to ask. I'm changing over from OO/HO to N, and I've got just about everything I want except one thing- I want an N scale Flying Scotsman- does anybody know where I can get one, or even if they're available? My OO version is an old Hornby, tender drive, had it for years and was barely running when I got it. There's been a bit of time invested in it and I'll never part with it, but I'm getting rid of the OO tracks so I'll need another to run around. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. Laurie in Melbourne.

Can't help directly with the Flying Scotsman but you might want to look at the NMRA Australasian region at

Not wanting to start a bidding war, but you could also consider the British Railway Modellers of Australia (BRMA) - see

There are a number of members in the Melbourne area, a few of whom model in N gauge.

To answer the original query, Graham Farish (now part of Bachmann) do an N gauge A3. Minitrix also did one years ago but it's not as good as the Farish version.

Graham Farish made one. Occasionally show up on eBay.

Bachmann now owns G-F, but AFAIK there are no plans to reissue the Flying Scotsman. OTOH, their 372-377 (Class A3 60066 "Merry Hampton" BR grean) with a repaint and added details would do very nicely as a stand-in.
