References that you may find useful are "The Book of the Princess Royal Pacifics" by Martin Sixsmith, (Irwell Press) and "LMS Locomotive Profiles No 4 - The Princess Royal Pacifics" by David Hunt, Bob Essery and Fred James (Wild Swan). The latter has lots of detailed plans.
