Seeking details of a trader

Hi team.

I went to the exhibition at Bushey in Jan or Feb 2005 with one of our layouts.

At that show there was a trader who was selling foam inserts and packing that were suitable for holding/transporting stock. The foam is in a big block that has been chopped in a guillotine so that stock can be fitted into it. Its a bit like the inserts in my son's Warhammer boxes except its grey rather than red.

I had his business card tucked in the pieces of foam I bought from him and I was intending to contact him when I needed more inserts. Much to my disgust I have discovered that the business card has taken a walk and I would like to be able to contact the chap sometime soon.

Help! Does anyone recognise this chap and can anyone tell me how to contact him please?

There wouldn't have been any exhibtions in Bushey in Jan or Feb so possibley SW Herts in April or Bushey & District in October. I can dig out the Bushey exhibition manager's email and you could ask him.

It was definitely in the early part of the year, based on your reply my guess now is that it must have been SW Herts in April 2004. I know we didn't get a layout badge so I can't be any more precise than that and unfortunately Outlook seems to have binned my diary for that period so I can't check there either.

Grateful for any information you can supply.

Hi Elliott;

There is a trader on E-Bay who sells these items. One of his auctions is here...

On the other hand, you can buy foam trays from this site

and an aluminium case from B&Q (the =A39.99 one) and each box will hold

3 trays. For model railway locos, I stiffen the underside of the foam tray with hardboard and also put a foam space filler on top to bulk out the box..
