Couldn't help thinking that the National Railroad Museum (USA) has made this fine example of British Engineering look like one of those a poorly painted plastic kit I'm sure we all turned out as kids, following the painting(-by-numbers) instructions to the letter!
Oh for a burnishing disc...
...and look at the livery applied to the LNER coach behind the loco. :~(
