I am going to be busy for the next few months so updates to the GANSG site will be few and far between for a while. Most of the recent changes have been in Appendix One (dealing with non railway matters) but there are now a couple of pics of a tamper in the section on Track - Buffer stops and Track Maintenance Personnel & Equipment and a couple of (not very good) photos of a welded rail train in the section on Track - Development History
I have made a tentative start on the lineside industries section. Most of the material I have for this section is still on paper and what is up at the moment is very much a rough draft - If anyone has any thoughts on industries that should be included I'd be glad of any suggestions (if anyone has a lineside industry on their layout and would be prepared to offer a photo for inclusion I would be grateful, the illustrations take a lot of time).
Reason for posting is that some time ago someone e-mailed asking if I had any pictures of a car crusher for a scrap yard - Cannot find the original e-mail, think it was about two hard drives ago - Thanks to a friend trying every time the tram passed a breakers yard I now have two (same machine in open and closed positions) , These are in the Lineside Industries- Scrap metal Yards, Foundries and Forges section of the site.
