XtrakCad?

To: uk.rec.models.rail Hi. I have a photo of a oo gauge layout, that I am trying to convert into N gauge (8x2 terminus/fiddle to 4x1). I have XtrakCad program to do it on the PC, but am finding it very difficult to get the points to line up and join correcly.

The pointwork is all code 55 N, large right hand, large left hand, medium Y, double slip, medium left and medium right.

I ahve the track templates from Peco, so could build it on paper, but would rather do it on PC first so I can cut/paste!

Instead of fiddling with XtrakCad, does anyone have any "template" drawings of the above peco pointwork atsay 25% of normal size, that I can cut and paste into a the mircosoft paint package?

Cheers Merlin

Do you own a scanner, if so..... :~))

If you can't resize images in your MS paint program then you might like to Google and download the 'Gimp' graphics program (free).

Try the same request on snipped-for-privacy@yahoogroups.com which seems to be full of helpful people with all kinds of track libraries. Whilst US based, Peco track is popular there, so someone should be able to save you reinventing the wheel :-)

The Peco code 55 templates in XtrakCad are broken. There was a question about this on the XtrakCad Yahoo group recently but no resolution as far as I am aware.
