SoCal TIG Seminar, Let's set this up!

OK guys I finally got the approval to spend thousands of $ to schedule my NDT training in Anaheim. I will be in Anaheim from September 30th to October 20th. I have my Hotel reservations at the Stoval Best Western, near the Hellier NDT training center.

The classes are 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday. I will have 2 weekends open.

The weekends of October 6th and 7th, and the 13th and 14th.

So start your engines. I have nothing else scheduled so far, and I have no interest in Disneyland unless I can get an engineers tour.

I will not have a rental car unless I need one for a day or 2.

I have a revamped TIG handbook that can be xeroxed.

I can bring down my basic Welding kit along with some good visual aids, but nothing big.

Too bad this is on the wrong coast for me. I would LOVE to be able to attend one or both weekends. Any plans for an east coast workshop?

I have relatives in Baltimore and North of Boston, but little connection to them. I can't honestly think of a job related reason to visit the East Coast.

If the seminar could fund itself so it cost me little or nothing to run it, I might be interested.

I have a brother in northern VA that I could squat with if you had one in MD. That would probably be the most central place on the east coast to have it. What would it cost to make it worth your while?

Travel $, housing, food? Probably around $1000 - $1500. Depends how long the seminar took , and if any equipment would need to be rented.

Cool. I could kick in $100 or so. It would just be a matter of getting enough people in on it.

This could be a worthwhile thing for me to attend. Anaheim's not that far from me, and I can always benefit from some additional learning. Plus it'd be worth it just to meet Ernie and Gunner.

Please count me in. I will either drive or fly over from Phoenix.

Thanks, Bob Harbour
