Watching Biker Build-off...

--I love that show; no drama, just build, build, build. I'd like to get a little further into understanding motative tube frame structures; has anyone got pointers to more info on same? I'm thinking of building a 3-wheel steam buggy one of these days... ;-)

I presume you meant Automotive tube frames. But what did you want to know about them? They are stiffer, lighter, much more work to build compared to a ladder frame.

--Yeah; I was more interested in placement of tubes for maximum strength and minimal weight in unusual configurations, diameter of tube, wall thickness, alloys, etc. My planned build is pretty minimal but I'd like to know in advance how bendy it's likely to be under load: I'm tipping the scales at 265 pounds at the moment.. :-)
