The Cox Spitfire in very good to excellent condition like this one is rare to see even on Ebay. It probably should have sold for more considering that the Stuka in this condition usually sells in this price range and is much more common. There is a half-a group on yahoo that spends quite a bit of time talking about these. Some guys have made it a goal to collect every Cox model ever produced and they are pushing prices for the rare and unusual ready to fly models quite high. A run of the mill PT19 in flyable condition can still be had for less than $50. One new in box for maybe three times that. Bob Furr
