RCU editing and deleting posts

Don't you just love it when a moderator's posts are completely unhelpful on the question asked. Then he argues word choice with the one person who actually posts useful information. Then he gets rude. Then he deletes your post when you call him on it and he goes back to change his posts to make them more informative and less rude.

Yes. It's almost as tacky as you posting your complaint about an individual without having the guts to spell out who it is you're talking about.

Is "Pompous A holes" your signature? If not, then finish your story and tell us who the other(s) is/are.

Actually I consider it tackier to name the individual and therefore refrained.

The "moderating"at RCU convinced me to close up my account there for good. I find RC Groups to be much more friendly.

Well they can be strangely picky too.

If you slag off one of their sponsors, critcise the incumbent president, or point out someones mental deficiencies ...

But yes, I've heard its a bit more relaxed than RCU.

AND I've discovered how to block ALL the advertising*. Haha. Up yours Hobby-Lobby.

Its still about the best signal to noise ratio BBS for toy planes on teh net.

  • Firefox and Adblock plus..someone pointed me at it on..you've guessed..RCGroups!

Yeah. Moderators come and go. Don't get too upset about it.

They offered me the moderator job several years ago, but I declined. Of course, I was much more sedate myself back then. They had a good crew at the time too. I'm too variable, depending upon how the neuropathy is behaving.

I don't want to give up any of the forums, myself, though I do make myself scarce here and there upon occasion.

Oh, off topic, but may be interesting.

I just received an order from Tiger Direct. They were selling two sets of headphones w/FM radio and transmitting station for $25. I bought two sets (four) and boy am I glad I did. The FM radio portion is the best I've owned (headsets) and they work very well. Even the sound is good for listening to music, talk radio or tunes on the computer. Just thought I'd pass along the info.

RCU can be a pain sometimes. Unfortunately the so-called moderators are not always very knowledgeable. That's why i don't go there very much anymore.

I'm still lurking here, Ed. :-) Always good to see your posts.

I haven't been spending much time at RC Groups... too many hobbies, not enough time. I've been getting to the flying field somewhat regularly, but this weekend I'm off on an eight-day bicycle trip. Yee hah! I get to sleep in a tent all week! It's tough on my middle-aged bones, but still just as much fun as when I was a kid (same for the bicycling!). Actually, I still AM a kid. Just an oldish one...
