I am in the middle of the US, the car was AMerican made, but in SWEDEN, AND was 51 years OLD. (a 53)

has 5 locks on it, and 4 of the 5 were original.. He sent me the code numbers, and I mailed the keys ($2.60 postage, BTW) and he got them in 3 DAYS and I did NOT send air mail.

Last year I got a call to open and make a key for a chastity belt (sorry, no one was wearing it at the time). The lock turned out to be a an old Master padlock, built into the belt's very ornate faux lock.

I got a call many years ago from another locksmith. He wanted to know if I got the call from the guy who was hand cuffed to a brass bed. I had not, but it got me wondering.

I got a call from a guy who was trying to repo a semi truck parked in front of owners house. The owner was inside, it was about 10 am, summer day. The owner had a drinking problem, wasn't working, so couldn't pay the bills. I impressioned a door and then ignition key. I was there maybe 5 minutes tops. The repo guy waited for me to drive around the corner before firing up the truck to drive away.

I got one of those late night hand cuff calls years ago (when I was still running 24 hrs.)

You don't ask a lot of questions. Just open them, get paid, and get going.

Kind of unusual fix for this one: About three years ago,I got a call from am maintainance man at a state hospital.(He showed his ID-LOL) The windows in the patients rooms had small cam locks on them so they could only be raised so far. He had a tamper-proof screwdriver which he could easily take the lock off, but he was getting ready to work on about a hundred windows-so he wanted a key.

He didnt know who the mfgr of the windows and there were no stampings on it.

I tried every damn small cylinder blank I had. Then I went through a coffee can of old keys and found one that not only fit-but opened the lock.

It was one of the older GM's-1098L I think.

I made him a few copies and told him General Motors was the mfgr.
