10" South Bend Lathe Model No?

I just picked up a 10" South Bend Lathe. The Catalog Number is 199A and it has 4' bed. There is square base motor housing that tapers up the Bed. The tailstock end has a 2 point Leg and a chip pan. It has a 3 position Flat Belt drive. Is this a 10 Heavy or what? I checked SB's website and did not see a catalog # 199A.

Thanks Pal

You should be able to find a serial # alongside the ways, on the tailstock end, IIRC. With the serial # you can ascertain the date, etc. from SB's website.

If it is a ten inch machine, it's either a heavy 10 (10L) or a 10K.

If it's a 10K then there will be a key inside the spindle, to take the special collets this machine uses. Otherwise it's a heavy ten.
