"Poor widdle Wudy...mentally ill, lies constantly, doesnt know who he is, or even what gender "he" is.
No more pathetic creature has ever walked the earth. But...he is locked into a mental hospital for the safety of the public.
Which is a very good thing."
Asun rauhassa, valmistaudun sotaan.

In the same period the USA cancelled several fighter/interceptors of comparable to greatly superior (Mach 3) performance to the Arrow because ICBMs made bomber interceptors obsolete. The most advanced of them, the YF-12A, begat the SR-71.
We kept this similar design but couldn't find much use for it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_A-5_Vigilante
Canada deserves credit for being able to run with the pack though the CF-105 certainly didn't lead it. Sweden's J-35 was the most successful small-nation entry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_35_Draken
