Looking at Ebay ..prices are up a bit and most of the affordable ones are utter crap. Tubular mic threads all look like they been beat with a hammer....

Well, L.S. Starrett is still in busyness and a quick look in their catalog shows brand new sets of inside mikes for a mere pittance for a guy making $65.00 an hour.
Correction: $75 / Hr.
Good Lord! All he has to do is work over a coffee break or two for a couple of days :-[)
