Anyone Speak Both English and French

...And want to quote a job in Quebec to a potential customer of mine as a distributor?

I'll make you a distributor of sorts and give you a decent discount off of my list price. You can then quote however you please to the customer.

I will also promise to harass you with future prospects every time we get a call in French.

--Well it's been 50 years since I've practiced but I speak a smattering from my year overseas. In a word: oui. ;-)

I speak video game console French... Wii.

If someone is interested in doing this, it's a decent sized job for us and the person would need to be able to speak "metalworking French". i.e. knowing the terms for drills, adapters, tapers, or whatnot.

My better half has a college degree in French. She is also my purchasing agent. Email if this is what you need.

Isn't there somewhere online where the translation of technical terms can be looked up? If there is I can help out on this since French is my first language.

I suppose there are such sites... And I offered to use a simple on-line translator for me to assist them directly, but I'm guessing that in a live conversation, it wouldn't be very convenient.

Plus, I'm betting those translators don't do well with phrases like, "multiple spindle drive tang" and the like...

Thank you for offering... If you think you can work around the techical words with explanations, we can give it a shot. Call or e-mail me direct.
