Followup on that Fosdick drill press

A week ago I posted how I was drooling at a Fosdick drill press shown here (pictures taken at sellers' location).

I could not get that thing off my mind as I liked that DP a lot. This is a geared head 2 HP drill press with MT3 taper.

The seller originally wanted $500.

The catalyst event for me was that I negotiated to buy it for just $175 instead of the original 500.

I am currently selling my Powermatic 1150 VS drill press, and will instead install this one. Might be a stupid thing, but we live just once. Hopefully, the Powermatic 1150 will be gone this Friday evening.

Good on ya. You can never have too many or too good tools. Now how do i teach my better half to quit calling them toys?

By the way, the Powermatic will likely sell for $550 (I have someone coming on Friday). So it is a good trade in all respects.

You cannot do that.

If it's not air, food or water, it's a toy.

To put some salt on the wounds, this Fosdick looks like it was used very little, though I am not yet sure.
