Gunner

No 220-pound thug can threaten the well-being or dignity of a 110-pound woman who has two pounds of iron to even things out. Is that evil? Is that wrong? People who object to weapons aren't abolishing violence, they're begging for the rule of brute force, when the biggest, strongest animals among men were always automatically "right". Guns end that, and social democracy is a hollow farce without an armed populace to make it work. - L. Neil Smith

More self-justifiyng sophist crap! He can if _he_ has a gun, especially a 15 pound automatic....

I suppose there is no way to know, but what proportion of guns are used for _offense_ compared to _defence_? I realise that even the terms are hard to define. But I willing to bet that the score is at least even, and I head toward offence, in that more guns have been pointed at people by _far_ in order to initiate conflict than have been used to stop it.

In civilian situations, certainly. In war? Not so sure. But actually I am not so sure that the sort of guns being advocated as "free issue" make much difference in wars any more.

It was actually more than 120 killed. The police were tipped off and waiting for them with automatic weapons. THere are all varieties of moslems. This group is a small moslem fundamentalist rebel group that the Tia government has been fighting for 10+ years.

Fundamentalism > US OUT OF THAILAND NOW!!
