Smith Mills shapers are excellent shapers. I ran one in an oil field machine shop and taught the new owners how to set up etc.
Very nice machines

Some years ago there was a place offering a 24" Cincinnati shaper in Seattle's industrial district. Free. In excellent shape, with tooling. Free. They ran an ad in the Seattle Times, maybe $25/week, for about
3 months. No takers.Good luck getting $800.
It's a whole lot easier to get rid of smaller shapers.

Well, I paid $750 for my 24" cincinnati (and haven't actually regretted it), so maybe OP will find a sucker like me.
Could have just been the wrong three weeks, too, you never know.

Agreed.... I bought a Cincinnati planer weighing 35,000 lbs and measuring 37'-6" long, 12'-3" wide, and 10'-11" high for $0.00 plus shipping......
$800 is WAY over the top and I'm close enough to be interested in the machine.....
... go figure....
well I did post or best offer
did not actually expect 800 , but you never know
