Greetings All, I checked the dropbox to see if the tif was there and it is. Once again look for two files that begin with SP125. There is a tif of the schematic that can be read clearly if blown up and a text file explaining the circuit changes and operation of the added purge button. If you make these changes be sure to coat the board and added components with some type of conformal coating to prevent shorts from the conductive dust that blows through the welder. ERS

Why not just post the url's instead of what they start with?

You should have wrapped the text in the .txt file so that it can be read without having to drag the horizontal scroll bar or saving the text in a file. With Firefox, what I see is about 7 lines of text; 3 of them are longer than one screen- width. I don't know of an easy way to see the text in a browser in a wrapped format.

I shoulda wrapped the text. I didn't know it was off. But what about the actual information? Was it useful? I don't mind being told a better way to post but maybe at least commenting on the info might be useful to someone. ERS
Because they change over time, but these articles stay around forever, thanks to Google's continuation of dejanews's archives.
Once or twice a year, Steve shuffles older things off to sections labeled by year, so a full URL won't work forever. The partial gets you there, and then you can hunt back to the articles from the year that the article was posted.

Amen. Of course, a lot of editors don't let you know that they are keeping the text as one long line per paragraph, and depending on th editor to wrap it on your screen when you go back to do something with it.
A programming editor is more likely to do things properly, but things like Word and other word-processing programs have a different task in mind, and don't bother folding the text for you -- except on your screen.
Other than if it was properly wrapped before being sent. :-)

I'd still rather have the full URL - recently it has taken a REAL LONG time to load the DropBox listing (> 1 minute). It's not that big (460 kB or so), but it's slooooooowwwwww.
2004 was the last shuffle-off.A better approach would be to have the year in *current* DropBox name. I.e.,

Then the URL would never change and the DropBox would be archived simply by creating a new one, i.e.,
