The big picture is not just about the present! It includes past, present & future! There are future generations waiting in line! You don't seem to understand that!! . .

That's me saying self-defense is among the ligitimate needs for a gun.

This is Myal, countering my statemenet about self defense, apparently calling same evil.

This is me, asking for clarification of an asinine statement.

This is myal doing what it does best.

This is me prodding myal to try to be coherent.

I just did.

You called self-defense evil above, and evaded questions for clarification twice.

So are you calling me a criminal because I won't allow an intruder to kill my family and have the means to prevent same, or am I a criminal for calling you "sparky"?

Actually, it was Niger, not Nigeria.

you are the only one making that association ... since I am not american , I obviously cannot hope to understand how you do it ...

this is you actually bunging an question mark at the end of a statement

callin it as it is , yup

its actually you being typically american again ... and Im loving it , never found a bigger bunch of twits in my life before

where? you showed where you made your arse-umptions , but nothing like what I asked for ... are you by chance american ?? do you hang with some dude called gunner ? figures ...

you made the arse-umption , you clarify it . just cite me making the statement you claim I did when you state "You called self-defense evil..."

given your above tactics , Id class you and yours AS the criminal , as low as politicians at least ... and yeah , that you still breathe is amazing .

And your proposal is? Dying early or not birthing that future generation...or both?

Right *there*. Not his fault that you're too dim to see it.

Stop making flu vaccines and stop killing infected birds. . .

And walking in a warm summer rain while singing a song from your childhood. Remembering those from you past who loved you ever so much, but are no longer around to hold you in their arms.

Correct.

But the Fed, and the Feds took actions which turned a market crash from a panic to a Great Depression which lasted (by some counts) until the Truman administration.

You know what the Great Depression was? The Fed is the Federal Reserve. The Fed called in loans in mass causing the crash of 1929. The Fed also causes inflation.

During the Great Depression, the people who owned the Fed bought up big corporations at pennies on the dollar. It was the biggest transfer of wealth in the history of the US.

What incentives work on a company that can print up as much money as they want?

I'm pretty sure the banking system in most of Europe is the same.

I'ts not controlling the Fed. The Fed and the people who own it controls the government.

The Fed caused the great depression. The Fed creates inflation. The Fed holds about half the federal debt, money they created out of nothing and charge interest on.

Any gold reserves are not in any way tied to Federal Reserve notes, except the fed claims to hold the gold in fort knox as collateral on the federal debt.

ummm.... I'm not too knowledgeable about the history of Europe's banking system, but all of these bank runs appear to be with currency issued by a privately owned bank. Certainly England's bank was and still is. The primary reason for the revolutionary war was to break England's control of the currency of the American colonies. Show me economic chaos from 1776 to 1913, which is when the government issued it's own currency. The panic just before the Fed was created don't count because it was actually caused by the people who were behind the creation of the Fed who would own it.

What obligations? They can print money from nothing. Inflation is an increase of the money supply faster than the increase of goods. Look at the history of inflation. We had sustained inflation year after year long before Nixon took us off the gold standard. Look at the wild inflation and deflation after the fed is created in 1913.

They tightened the grip on the money supply. They create money out of nothing. They don't need to call in loans. The only politician who dared try to impeach board members of the Fed was assassinated.

I'll agree there is a need for a central bank, but it does not belong in private hands. They create money out of nothing, then loan it out to the federal government at interest which is financed by personal income tax which was created the same year as the Fed.

Where does inflation come from? It is the increase of the money supply faster than the increase of goods. That money has to come from somewhere. It comes from the fed which creates it out of nothing. We fought a revolution to get out from under that system.

Here's several excellent videos on it: (several hours)

As you probably know, that's not a majority opinion among economists. The banking system did help precipitate a panic. But any banking system of the time, under those circumstances, would have precipitated a panic. Note that the Depression was virtually worldwide, and the banking systems in other countries that experienced similar crises of confidence were much different systems.

We had serious panics long before we had the Fed. The thing that made the Great Depression so deep and wide was the large number of investors -- large numbers of private investors being a new thing at the time -- who were investing on very stretched-out margins. There was no cushion to the economy anywhere.

Most of the argument is about what caused it to last so long, not what caused the precipitous collapse.

Nonsense. Any banking system of the time would have caused it, especially any debt-based system, and practically every system in the world is now debt-based. Very different banking systems in other parts of the industrialized world contributed to the Depression.

When a banking crisis starts, the classical way that banks respond is to call in their loans, shut off credit, and try to keep depositors at bay. That's what the US banking system did, Fed or no Fed, and it's what any modern (for those days) banking system would do.

As for this being an answer to stability, that ended nearly 70 years ago. Tell us about another banking system, please, that has combined steady growth with only mild recessions over the period from 1940 to the present. There isn't one.

Any debt-based system, generally fractional-reserve-banking systems, create a small amount of inflation when they're running smoothly. It's built-in. The idea is to get economic growth moving faster than inflation. That's how the system -- any modern system -- works. Zero inflation is what you have when your economy is about to go into deflation and to auger into the ground.

I don't know how you're doing your arithmetic, but the current national debt is $8.7 trillion, if you include intragovernmental debt. A little over $5 trillion is held by the public at home and foreign entities. The rest is intragovernmental holdings.

As for "creating money out of nothing," that's how every system in the world works. The basis of money is no mystery, but you'll have a hard time if you're looking for anything of intrinsic worth behind any economy in the world.

BTW, the Austrian School is not about the economy of Austria. It's the conservative school of economics that blames everything on manipulation by central banks and governments. It's a favorite of neocons but they'd never want to see it put into practice.

And your proposal is? . .

Lack of response by myal noted.

I said self-defense is my right. You said "you are right , it is a basic freedom of humanity to choose to be evil" in response to that. Therefore you are calling self-defense evil. You have passed on 3 opportunities now to correct any possible misunderstanding, and reinforced your statement by labeling me a criminal (below). Remember?

Yawn. There you go again.

You've misspelled "raving like a lunatic".

Evasion of point noted.

See above. This time read slower until you get it.

I've explained it twice now.

We need a new troll...this one is stuck.

So you have citations to back up this claim?

Sure you are.

No..I dont. Please provide citations.

Cites?

True indeed.

Say hi! to your handlers at the DNC.

Gunner

Which is why Iraq had nearly all Russian or Chinese supplied hardware such as tank, wmds and AK-47s

Fascinating

Probably the same producers as the one bout Elvis still being alive running a 7-11 in Idaho....
