Policeman on trial

Jul 22, 2005 13 Replies

Richard Fuller W177, a sergeant with the Wiltshire Constabulary was summoned to appear at Chippenham Magistrates' Court on Thurs 21st July to answer an allegation of assault.

Richard Fuller did not appear and a "Not Guilty" plea was entered in his absence. The case was adjourned until 7th Sept and Richard Fuller was ordered to appear in person on that date.

Is this something to do with this group ?

Hhhmmmm....

Has someone that has been banned from posting, been posting?

Certain things look a little obvious.

Best regards, Dave Colliver.

At which hearing he will doubtless be acquitted.

This is a "HAM Radio Group" Any QSO is fair play. Please let me know of an "Amateur Radio Group"...other than Homebrew

Did he assault a miniature triple-expansion steam engine? If not, then why is this posted to uk.rec.models.engineering?

Have a nice day.

Aka the day they went around to your home and gave you a good kicking?

Of course he did not appear - he's got better things to do that to stand in front of the beaks who don't rely on £350 Law Books like you do!

Are we permitted to identify you yet despite your name, etc, being public domain?

What happened about that NIP you got for dangerous driving, Beanie? ...(_!_)...

I thought the postings from this guy were familiar. How do you know for sure that this guy has been banned from posting?

From what I recall, the news article that was on thisiswiltshire said that part of his bail conditions was not to use NNTP. This is why we have not heard from him for a while. I think one of the reasons for his arrest was threatenting behaviour on a newsgroup. Perhaps someone could correct me where I am mistaken.

I have not named any names in my comments.

Well if threatening behaviour is a reason to get oneself banned from a NG then I think somewhere around 40-60% of the posters in this group will soon be absent. Take your point though.

I thought there was another mentioning a ban but I can't find it.

why on earth would the police arestn osmeone over posts on a newsgroup

harrasment is private posts to individual members on a newshgoup however distatesful it is i was under the impression the worse you could is report him to his isp

but at end of day its a free intenet news service i dont reallyn think police involvement is requred

and thats me speaking as someone who has regularly been abused on this sdort of group with all sorts of names and insults thrown at me,sure i dont like it but i am hardly likely to get police invloved thats just a bit childish

you just dont read thsat persons posts thats all,if he then contiues to do things to your pirvate emaiol than ok maybe but if not then just get on.
