Just to let others know who might have a similar problem re moving a machine, I used a firm who advertises in "Home Workshop" and would recomend them.

I have nothing but praise for Steve who took a great deal of care in transporting and unloading my VMC Mill from Plymouth to Oswestry, and kept me informed at all times. I have no connection whatsoever with the firm, I just thought it might be reassuring to others that might worry (as I did) about transporting their precious machines.
