What's this myford part?

Can anyone tell me what this Myford part is?

Its similar to an ML7 tumbler gear assembly - possibly a tumbler gear from an earlier Myford - but I'm pretty sure its not from a ML7 or Super 7.

Finish in Myford gray - 18T and 20T gears about 3/8" wide with 1/2 centers (same as ML7) - two studs that screw directly into the arm.

Looks like a surreptitious ad for an item on eBay to me. Or am I being seasonally suspicious?

I looked at it when it appeared on the list but the ebay auction had already finished by then so i don't think it was an ad unless the post appeared late.

Not sure how it could be a surreptitious ad for an auction that ended 5 days ago :-)

A bit of insider info (as I've bought stuff from him), is that Steve who posted the query and link here is also rocketry100 who happened to be the buyer of the item.

Close, but no cigar.... ;-)

Thanks Duncan!

It's not an ad - it's a genuine inquiry about something I purchased that may have been described incorrectly - i.e. I suspect it may not be part of a Myford 7 Series.

Duncan,

How politically incorrect to tell us that! It is my view that you owe Steve a big apology, and maybe a pint.

He may or may not owe Steve an apoloy but political correctness is going out of fashion thank goodness!

Bring back dustmen, get rid of 'chairpersons' etc etc so we know what we're dealing with and don't pansy around with meaningless names for things !

Being a Yorkshireman I tend to want to call a spade a spade, and if I'm happy I'm gay but still don't fancy any of you blokes !

Good Deity-of-your-choice[0] man[1]! You can't go saying things like that! You risk harming the collective self-esteem of the group[2]. Then we'd have to sue you for emotional distress[3].

Now come on everyone - group hug[5]...

[0] With the understanding that atheism is equally valued. [1] That's "man" in a non-gender specific way, of course. [2] Except for those who have a naturally low self-esteem, which is a perfectly valid lifestyle choice. [3] Accepting that some members[4] may be emotionally-challenged. [4] Not implying that membership is, in any way, a pre-requisite to feeling distress[3]. [5] It is understood that some members[4] may feel uncomfortable with a hug. That's fine too.

It doesn't worry me who knows I'm rocketry100 on ebay! I wouldn't even have thought about it until you said. No apology needed.

Andrew, First of all it's not a spade it's a F-?#'£G shovel. Take no notice of that bloody pansy, Eaton. Next thing he'll be telling you that a logistics technician isn't a bloody lorry driver.

So you are both happy - that's fine.

Sorry if I have offended, but as I read it at the time it just looked rather unfortunate.

You may not do PC, but do you do pints?

[You did perhaps note the sig under which I posted. :) - repeated below]

Hi Mike, I wasn't offended, just curious as to what I'd done wrong!

I certainly do pints and if I can get this pesky GT6 running today after

7 months of it sitting idle, it will be mucho Fosters tonight ;-)

I've never been there, surely they have alternatives to Sam Smiths (or is that sacrilege?).

To be honest, I'm having difficulty summoning up the enthusiasm. Have replaced the inlet manifold this morning along with all the hoses and heater valve and run it down the road after checking for leaks.

The front brakes are now jamming on - it's like hitting moles here, fix one and another pops up.

Back to building the gear hobber methinks :-|
