Nice intentional mispeling! Tandem motors. Way fun. But you had to know what you were doign. Eventually banned when (one?) manufacturer said this was not recommended use of their product.

1) You don't have to dig out the ejection charge for delayed staging. 2) The Pink Book R&D rules specifically allow violating the safety code while doing R&D!

This was actually commonplace in the late 70s, through at least NARAM-20. I know I flew tandems there, and was not the only competitor to do so. Still have a couple I made but never flew from that era...
