We are finally picking up where we left off in the early 70's. we have decided that it is finaly time to establish a colony on the moon. many people have questioned this, and I am sure that the same questions were asked of the first colonists that settled the new world and east indies.
And look how they ended up.....

I happen to know alot of moonies (lunar colonist proponents) and the variety and depth of proposals for moon colonization and exploitation is impressive. It may actually be one of the few "mature technologies" even before departure. Now if only NASA can be convinced to do an expendable heavy lift . . .
Lord knows they will do whatever is required to make it infeasible for a commercial venture to just do it.
