Check the announcement on Rocketry Online. Aerotech has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy today. Looks like they never recovered from that fire!

You're a tad late Ron. Already been posted by the same source you quote.

the google news server is updated in batches every few hours

so he probably didn't see the ROL post here

Chapter 11 is a re-org. This means that the company is asking to be relieved from it's creditors momentarily until it can come up with a strategy for making ends meet. This usually means they come up with a sort of "payment plan" for outstanding debts so they can be profitable enoiugh to stay in business. Most re-orgs fail, and chapter 7 is the result.

Not all Chapter 11 fail, Just look a K-Mart they were in Chapter 11 along with a few other companies.

Too bad they can't sue the ATFE for driving away all the business.

JD

Correct, I didnt mean to imply that this one would fail... I hope it doesn't at least.

Tom

True. Because NAR and TRA did it WITH AeroTech by DECIDING to "overcomply". You cannot sue yourself.

Jerry

They have months worth of orders back logged. What business was driven away? As a vendor sales are strong for all of the motor lines.

I "hope not", but in reality it will.
