MidAmerica Rocket Fest-III/October Fly-III/ High Power Launch and NAR regional competition

October Fly-III October 25-26, 2003 Back up date: November 1-2, 2003 Elsberry, MO

October Fly III Contest Director: John Buckley MARF III Chief RSO and director Bruce A Weidner

Event to be held in conjunction with MARF-III. Back up date in case of inclement weather or delay in crop harvest is Nov. 1-2, 2003. Contest range hours will be 10AM to 5PM Saturday, 9AM to 3PM Sunday. Flights to 6500 ft AGL with possible windows to 14,500 ft. Up to M impulse flights are possible. Bruce Weidner must receive 7 days notice for projects that exceed 20 lbs liftoff weight, 10 ft in length or may exceed

6000 ft AGL. TRA and NAR insurance. Back up date in case of rain or delay in crop harvesting is Nov. 1-2, 2003. 10AM to 5PM Saturday, Night Launch, 8PM Saturday. 9AM to 3PM Sunday. Restroom facilities on the field. Lodging and camping available. If we have a Boy Scout troop on site we may have a campfire Saturday evening on the field. Onsite food vendor available on Saturday and Sunday. Onsite rocketry vendor (Giant Leap Rocketry) to be available, if you wish to preorder he may be able to deliver it on the field. Saturday

7:30AM Setup crew breakfast at Sadies restaurant in Elsberry (all are welcome) 8:30AM Range setup 9:45AM Contest Fliers briefing and registration at range safety table 10:00AM Range opens 4-5PM Safety inspection and check in for night launch (RSO table) 5PM Waiver ends and range closes, Turn in deadline for night launch rockets (at RSO table) 5-6PM (approx) Range teardown 6:30- 7:45PM Dinner at Sadies Restaurant in Elsberry 8:00PM Check in time for Night Launch 8:30PM Night Launch begins 9:30PM to ??? Campfire on the field (tentative). Bring out the Marshmallows!!

Sunday
