It's illegal. It's against every government rule in the book.

If the Republican party was about as left as arnie went: supports choice (abortion) supports gay coupling but NOT marriage which is reserved. supports all major significant other rights wants to modify the labor aspect of education and maintain service levels. wants childrens programs generally to not necesssarily grow, but become more service delivery oriented.

he lowers taxes on registration and workman's comp but raises other areas, mostly through growth since it has to monetize a structural deficit. If only we could sell off our bonds for cash. Even 90 par would be a good deal for a state.

Time to fire up the lobby mechanism.

Did you ever see the movie "Demolition Man"?

Stallone: "Hold it! The Schwarzenegger Library?" Bullock: "Yes, the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library. Wasn't he an actor?" Stallone: "Stop! He was President?" Bullock: "Yes. Even though he was not born in this country, his popularity at the time caused the 61st Amendment?"

I think this will all work out. Arnold has already announced that he's going to fix California by having the folks in Silicon Valley create a huge computer system.

I think they're going to call it "SkyNet."

Maybe its my imagination, but there seems to be an emerging pattern of electing people who've never really mastered the English language. Perhaps, I'm 'misunderestimating' them.

In California that is a "qualification" to be Governor. We have a state full of those.

Nothing. But doing the right thing financially is not as important as doing the right thing on social issues. And doing the wrong things on financial issues doesn't do as much lasting harm to society as doing the wrong thing on social issues.

There's a point worth considering.

I have to give him credit for being a quick learner. Lesson #1: "The important thing is, I don't remember."

You have to admit, it caused one of those classic political flip-flops. On the one hand, we had the feminists who defended Clinton despite his sexual misconduct denouncing Arnold for his sexual misconduct. On the other hand, we had the social conservatives who denounced Clinton's sexual misconduct defending Arnold despite his sexual misconduct.

I thought we grew some strange politicians in PA. Our former governor, Tom Ridge, is a pro-choice Republican. His Predecessor, Bob Casey, was a pro-life Democrat. Don't get me started about Arlen Spector.

First, my question would be "what sexual misconduct"? I'll admit to not having paid any deep level of attention to what was claimed, but it appears that a) most of what was claimed occurred before there was any such thing (in law) as 'sexual harassment', and b) what he did was more in the lines of 'boorish behavior' than a crime.

What's even funnier about this is that after Kathleen Willey's (sp?) claims against Clinton, Gloria Steinem published her famous "one free grope" article, where the first grope was free until the woman said "NO". According to Arnold (and nobody has thus far claimed otherwise), NOBODY ever told him that his advances weren't welcomed.
