(ROL Newswire) -- AeroTech (RCS) is pleased to announce the Tripoli
Motor Testing (TMT) committee of the Tripoli Rocketry Association has
certified three new RMS reload kits using AeroTech's "Warp-9"
propellant, the 38mm H669N-P, the 54mm J1423N-P and the 54mm J2135N-P.
These reloads set new records for the highest delivered specific impulse (propellant performance efficiency) ever produced by an AeroTech RMS motor, surpassing even the recently released H999N-P, at 233.7 sec for the H669N-P, 231.9 sec for the J1423N-P and 231.0 sec for the J2135N-P.
All Warp-9 reloads will be sold in a plugged configuration because of the tendency of Warp-9 propellant to "snuff out" a delay charge, due to the extremely fast chamber pressure decay rate. Rockets using Warp-9 motors must employ a timer, altimeter or radio-actuated recovery system.
RCS is now accepting orders for the new Warp-9 reloads and anticipates shipments to dealers to begin in mid-May.
Detailed technical information, assembly drawings and the official TMT certification announcement may be downloaded in PDF format from the AeroTech website at http://www.aerotech-rocketry.com .
